On a short retreat from the city last Saturday, my brother and our friend hiked through the Sweetwater Creek State Park. This beautiful trail tightly hugs the stream just west of the city of Atlanta. The calming sound of the creek and low grade terrain made for a very relaxing stroll while soaking up the peaceful wilderness. A storm began rolling in around sunset, so we unfortunately missed what I’m sure would have been a spectacular evening glow of the sun peaking through the tree line. We will definitely return to catch that that scene!

If you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting, it’s well worth the short drive from downtown!
